How can you guys think you can get an S4 for $39K? My fully loaded A4 2.8Qtip was $27.5K. I would think S4 would be like $45K

To frustrated 2.8 owners and future S4 owners...(long)
it seems like the price is about $39K. Spoke to two dealers yesterday (have deposits in both) and one told me it will be $38-$39K whereas the other didn't have the pricing yet. I can't state whether the first dealer will mark it up but the second dealer had told me he will sell the car to me at MSRP. That's fine. I haven't had the time yet to sit down with either dealer but both seem to be fair.
Since I don't know the pricing for the S4 options, I've already priced the car fairly to be around $43K fully loaded:

Audio Package: $1144
Convenience Package: $1320
Cold Weather: $800
Integrated Phone: $431
Total: $3695
These are invoice prices taken from an A6 (A6 b/c the options on the S4 appear to be more along the lines of the A6).
Add this to an MSRP of $39 and basically, the car will sell for about $43K. I didn't include the Alcantara lthr option since there's no pricing for it. However, if your A4 2.8 came equally equipped, then the S4 would be about $6K more.
I can't say whether the dealers will sell the options at MSRP. Hopefully, this is the area in which they can either decide to save me money (paying closer to invoice rather than msrp) or make me dish it all out. If it does become full MSRP for everything, then the car will probably be around $45.
I wouldn't think that you got ripped off. Comparing it this way, one would have to probably spend an easy $10k-$14K more for the S4 over a 2.8 (given that dealers are willing to work closer to invoice pricing on a 2.8 than an S4). I hope that you don't feel that the S4 is still a bargain.
As for me, the S4 is my dream car. That extra hard-earned money is worth it to me unless they start marking up the car - then, it's a no sale (have my limits too). It's just too bad that I'm so busy at work these days that I can't even muster an hour to get to my dealers. So, if anyone has more info (pricing) on the S4, it would be nice to see responses on orders or just more pricing info in general.
Lastly, I too thought, "Wow, I'm basically getting a twin-turbo engine for free!" when I heard of the S4's price a while back. It's a totally different story when you start looking at the finances.
