Default How deep is too deep for Quattro?

This is my first winter with my A4. It's the stock suspension, non-sport. Just curious how the car behaves in deeper snow.

Default btw about your driver door wind noise...

go to Home Despot and buy small diameter clear rubber hose. Then layer that in between your door and the rubber insulation, you can see that you can fit the rubber hose in there nice and snug. That will eliminate, or greatly reduce wind noise.

Cheers,
Sameer

Default My car bottomed out in last year's big Mid-Atlantic storm.

12-15" of snow at the time, stopped dead. My car is about 1.5" lower than a non-sport. I might have fared somewhat better with REAL winter tires but probably still would have gotten stuck. This will be my sixth winter with the car and that is the only time it ever let me down.

i'd guess 6ish inches, depends on the pack/weight tho, as well as tire setup

Default You can plow through alot....

You may damage the body, but you most likely wont get stuck. Just make sure you don't go over a high mound of packed snow, and get all the tires off the ground. Then you may have a problem

Default Depends on how dense and wet the snow is

If it's dry and fluffy powder snow you can plow through a foot high, but if it's dense you will bottom out quickly, And don't forget that wet snow will build up on the bottom and in the wheel wells.
