How to disconnect wires/cables/tubes to remove hood?
Hello all, I couldn't find anything about this in the archives and want to know how to remove my pre-facelift hood so that I can swap it with a cleaner/undented one. I took a look under the hood and noticed a few thin wires/cables running from the engine bay into a hole through the upper (part of hood closer to windshield) driver side of the hood. Not sure what these wires are, I'm guessing the alarm. How do I disconnect these wires? I don't see a plug/socket anywhere.
Also, do the tubes for the washer nozzles just pop out of the underside of the hood if I just pull on them?
Lastly, is there a special tool to remove the nuts attaching the gas strut that holds up the hood or is this just a normal nut? I can't tell - it was dark.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, the tubes just pull off. Then detatch the clips holding the hose to the hood. I don't have heated washer jets, so I'm not sure if you can pull the wiring for that out or not. There is no wiring on the hood for the alarm, the sensor is on the top of the radiator support. The gas strut just has a clip over the end of the pin, pry it off with a screwdriver.
