Default How long does it take to fill your car with gas?

I'm just curious. Everyone asks me why it takes so long to fill my car up with a tank of gas. IIRC, the manual says you need to pump at a medium rate of speed because of the vapor lock system. I assume this is correct because everytime I pump gas, the nozzle will just shut off if I try to pump at a full rate of speed. I fill my car with 93 octane everytime I refuel so that isn't the problem. I sporadically overfill my tank with gas, as well because the nozzle wouldn't automatically shut-off when it's full.
Does this happen to anyone else or should I inform my dealer about this?

Default Mine is the same way depending on the pump and station, some I can go full blast others constantly..

shut off. I like the sunoco 94 pumps the best however, and what a difference over some other stations around here in CT.

Default depending on a fuel pump, it takes me 3-4 minutes to fill the tank on medium setting...

I have never overfilled the tank - I guess I'm lucky that the nozzles shut off in time.

Default I think on a couple occasions, it has taken me nearly 10 minutes...

to go from three-quarters to full. Other times it may take me up to 5 minutes ?:\?

Default Depends. After ONE or TWO burritos?

Seriously, it depends on the pump.

Default 10 minutes for a few gallons of gas is waaaay too long...

does it happen at just one particular gas station, or many?

If not many, just stay away from them.

If many, I would definitely take it to the dealer. Better yet, take your Service Manager for a ride with you to one of such gas stations and have him watch while you fill-up, if he dismisses your claims otherwise.

Default I've had no problems pumping full blast

From the day I got my car till now (almost 12k miles). Works just fine going full blast. Only shuts off when it's full.
