Ignition problems
I'm a newbie

I have an Audi A4 Avant 1.8t 110kw 150cv and i have an ignition problem.
When I try to turn the car, the engine start it, but after switch off itself.
The cause Could be a relay?
Where is the location of relays box?
What do you suggest me? Can you help me?
Thanks

This is not a US car so I don't know if it's the same, but typically the immobilizer will let the car start and then cut power after 5 seconds if the key is bad. Check your owners manual to see if there is supposed to be a light in the cluster when the key is inserted.
Could also be your ignition switch, they were recalled many times.
Not sure what relay you are talking about.

It is an italian car.
Today i noticed a thing. Sometime when I insert the key, the picture of a car with a key, blink and the car doesn't switch on.
If i try to switch on the car more times, it can switch on correctly without problems (the picture doesn't blink). the problem is random.
I have 3 keys.
1- Audi key, with a button. I don't know what it is used because this button doesn't open the car.
2- Audi key, without buttons.
3- Audi key, with picture of a wrench
The problem persist with all keys
Which is the difference between these keys?
The problem could be the key, or something else?
Thanks

The other two are regular Audi keys. There is an RFID chip inside all the keys (it is only on one side of the key), the signal is picked up by a receiver in a "ring" around the ignition lock.
If the car won't start turn it over 180 as the RFID chip is sometimes closer to the ring.Or the reception of the ring may be better one way than another.
Could be your keys or the ring is not picking up the RFID signal. Would be unusual for all three keys to be bad. However if the lock is worn I could see a situation where the key is not close enough to the receiver ring.
In the US you can order spare keys by VIN #, the Audi dealer has to enable the new key to your car.
These systems weren't implemented until 2000/2001 in the US (my 96 A4 had a standard key) so your car may be different.
I had a similar situation with our Toyota it would work only with the key in one way.
