Default im a newbie without an A4.... warning NEWBIE questions

Hey everyone,

i've been checking out the forum here for a couple of weeks now and you all seem VERY good at help each other...
My car was stolen a couple of week ago and now its a total lost. I need a new car, perferably an Audi A4 Quad turbo 97+.

i have a few stupid newbie questions:

1) I use to do ALOT of drag racing (hondas mostly, i know i know) and im just wondering how fast an Audi turbo would do the 1/4 mile with the basics (CAI, Exhaust, and a 1 bar chip[stock turbo])?

2) Insurance rates?? im 22(no points) and it seems that every car i have wether it was my integra or civic, the insurance wants an arm and a leg... what are your rates? esp. if your around 22.

3) anyone here from the sacramento, ca area?? =)

4) what should i be looking for when i finally buy an A4?

sorry for the newbie questions... im sure i'll have more =P

It's not that fast, especially with Quattro

Default he's right quattro is not a drag racer, it is an all around performer.

personally its more fun to be able to carry speed through a corner than in a straight line.

Insurance all depends on age and where you live, in MA I pay a little over 1K per year in insurance.

Default a4's are not great drag racers. it takes alot to make them fast.

they are very fun cars after chipping, especially in the snow :P

Default Quad Turbo...now that would be something!

Poor little 1.8T wouldn't be able to spin them all! :-(

Default if you're looking for a drag car, get a vw gti.

not an audi.

I'd tell you what I pay as a 23-male in NJ w/1 accident, but I don't want to cause any heart attacks
