InnerVoice and the Driver
This morning in mild-heavy morning rush hour traffic, we were all traveling at about 70-75mph (normal) I was in the leftlane, there was a dumptruck on my passenger side...
As we rounded a corner, I had a strange feeling...unexplainable emotion.
I decided to slow down, let the dump truck pass...so I could get on the other side of him...which I did,
The person behind me in the left lane, took my spot, and I proceeded to cross the middle lane, and get in the right hand lane.
NOT 15 seconds later, (everyone in the same positions) Everyones brakelights comeon...traffic slowed down almost immediately...the dumptruck had a full lockup..smoking and jumping tires....he ended up SLAMMING into the person in the left lane, smashing him inbetween the concrete wall and the dumptruck....that lane stopped immediately...traffic behind that vehicle rear ended that car....
I WAS TOO CLOSE to being that car. Had I not listened to my inner-voice and moved lanes...for (then) no explained reason other than not being on the left side of the dumptruck....I would have been in a HORRIBLE accident...just 15 minutes ago.
Listen to yourself....

Did you stop??
Was the guy ok??
You had me so emotionally attached to this story and then just ended with a 'moral of the story'
I WANT DETAILS
p.s. glad you are ok and all too.

Here's what you should have done...
slowed down, positioned yourself, let the truck take out the front part of your car, then run a insurance scam to get a new built stage III 1.8t with new front bumper and the works...
=)
good story though, I know what you mean and it's weird but I always find myself avoiding people who I think are morons and it's worked out at times...

Re: My InnerVoice just yells at me for being stupid...
I did not stop, I was part of the undamaged crowd...who had to get to work...I did however immediately call 911 for everyone.
Overall, about 6 cars total were in the mishmash.
I do not know the condition of the white car (which would have been me) Their car was totaled, windows smashed,...did not see movement from the car, but I was trying to avoid the wreck...had to pay attention.
All in all, a VERY BAD wreck....
Im still quite stunned at the fact that it wasn't me smashed into the dumptruck.
