Hello, just made an account, I am aware that some similar topics exist, but I could not find a problem that is like mine.
I have a 98 B5 quattro and the weird thing is that the interior lights do not turn on when I open the door, except for the footwell lights and the indoor indicators are lit when they are open. They also do not show up on the Maxidot display as being open. I cannot understand what is going on, I have seen a few things like checking the comfort module or shorting some wires, but really, I do not want to mess with anything if I am not sure, especially since I've understood that some of these methods can lead to you needing to get your keys checked out by a dealership, and I really do not have the budget for it.
Does anybody have a clue what is going on? It doesn't really affect me in a big way, but it sure is very annoying and possibly dangerous if I take of and don't notice a door not properly closed.
