Interior Question

I have a 96' A4 with the old center console style which i do not like and i have a chance to get a 2000 s4 center console. Will this work. It looks like it will fit but will things like the buttons and the hvac controls plug in.

What i have...

not without a lot of modification... look at how the lower area is set up...

IIRC everything is bolt-on, but need quite a lot of rewiring.
