Jacks, jack stands, where do I put them? --> jack pointers inside.

What's that undercoating made of? I got a chunk taken out earlier this week driving into a parking
lot made for 4x4's out by the Ozarks. =(
Any idea where I can get it "recoated"? Thanks...

Rubber?
A rubbery/sticky goo? Just grab a spray can of rubberized undercoating (or truck bed liner) at AutoZone....it's nasty stuff, but it does the trick. Good luck

Excellent pointer
For lifting, I use the flat spot (that's sorta deformed in your pic), BUT I place a small piece of plywood on top of my lift pad. It helps to prevent that are from getting deformed.
I use various places for the stands, where you indicate is an excellent choice, as is where MB suggests on the factory DTS mounting locations.

Low, square, flat area that does have a hole in it yes.
I use a flattop floor jack to lift there and then put the jack stands where the DTS go. The dealer uses these pads with a lift too, because the surface area is greater to distribute the weight better.

Cool thanks. I think in the pic, that's where Andy had his rear jack stands placed (last pic).
Ok, I know there is a similar one up front. However, when I jack the front I won't be able to use the DTS area since I will be installing the DTS. ;-)
