Yea or maybe crack the sunroof slightly and just flood the roof with water. Or maybe flood the area in front of the windshied with water and watch to see if it goes down the drains.

Here are some pictures of the damage.

3 broken wires, (not counting the one I already fixed), plus 2 highly corroded power wires and 1 corroded ground wire.

The mess I found it in. This was after I seperated out the wiring harness.

The corroded ground wire. Or should I say burnt. I never thought to check the carpet for burn marks but thankfully it's been wet so it wouldn't have lit up.

Interesting. You do have a good mess there. Does water do that? Looks like there was an overdraw there. May water shorting to ground can cause that sort of overdraw. I'm out of my league there.

This is totally my league. I'll tell you what it looks like. Water cracked the insulation enough to cause a short. There's evidence of burns on a few of the wires consistent with a short to ground. The ground wire insulation was burned and shorted out the wires it was exposed to. I'm lucky there was no fire. It's unlikely that it's from excessive power draw, as there' would be signs of melting/warping down the length of the wire, not just burning in one specific spot.

OK, that makes sense.

So I had some rain yesterday and my windows immediately fogged up. So I'm thinking I got some water coming in at the firewall, I feel like my sunroof maybe okay (no obstructions either side, bilateral water drain).

So can someone enlighten me in where it could be coming in from?
