key programming questions...

I bought a 3 buttom remote with a blank metal part in it. I got it cut, and it works fine. But, when I went to program the new remote, all I did was un-program (I love made up words) the old remote. I orginal had a two button remote becuase I have a 98.5 and I just assumed I could use the threee buttom remote and never use the trunk release buttom. Am I wrong, or should I just try programming them untill I get it?

It should work..

Which programming instructions did you follow? The one in the tech section worked fine for me ('97). Good luck

what is the fcc# on your new remote?...

there are 2 remotes and the newer one may not work on your car! i bought one for myyyy 97 and had this problem.
