keyless remote problem

i put in new batteries in not too long ago figuring that it will fix my problem but it didnt. my problem is that the remote only works at very close range like 2 feet. do i need a new remote?

can the dealer do that? i'm not that good wit that kinda stuff. my remote is pretty rough shape. whould that affect how it works?

your buttons may be dead...

try finding another remote to test. what year and where are you?
