leaving doors unlocked? -totally hypothetical
so instead of thieves doing damage trying to get into my car and then realizing that they can't start it due to kill switches but leaving some damage in the process of getting in...would i be stupid to leave my doors unlocked?
Bye, bye to sunglasses, CD, stereo, and anythign else they find.
Well... I guy I work with does that.
He had his VW Jetta broken into twice. So now he leaves his doors unlocked and doesn't keep anything expensive in there. It doesn't help we work downtown....
along with any other interior parts they could steal
seats, airbags, etc. And what they can't get out, they may just decide to destroy
thats how they finally got (only way with <MY99.5) to my ignition
.
well i mean, honestly
it's not hard to actually get into the cars, instead of dealing with 1K worth of damage just from thievin bastards getting in...i just sorta figured i'd allow them in, and realize once in that they can't get the car...
and yes...of course don't hold any valubles in car (which i dont anyways- and if i did...of course lock=) |
your insurance company might not look too highly on buying you new airbags, streering wheel, stereo
etc.... when they find out you left you car totally unlocked.
btw man, you really got to get back to me, re injectors.
be fair, and I'll cut you a fair deal, otherwise we're both out on this.
With a convertible i firmly believe in leaving the car unlocked...
they can just cut the top easy enough. I even have left a wad of cash in the center console hoping if someone comes in, they will take it and leave the interior alone.
