Little sensor, just came loose from base of rad area. What is it?

Little sensor, just came loose from base of rad area. What is it?
Can you tell my warranty just expired?
It's a little wire with what looks like a sensor plug on the end of it, and it's hanging down under the plastic undertray in the area of the radiator base. I'm sure I could figure out where it's supposed to go, but any idea what it's for?

Outside temp sensor perhaps?

There's a little bracket to hold it in place.
