Mintex Rear Pads

Mintex Rear Pads
My car is on the jack and the caliper is off; I see that the Mintex MDB1377 are the correct part but visually I can tell that the springs are set forward (more toward the rotors) than teh stock pads. Is that normal? Take a look at the pictures and tell me if I should go forward with the install.
Thanks a lot!

Re: looks similar to what I had for stock vs Mintex red.
Thansk pal,
I just wanted to make sure; I can see that the spring is pointing to the back more so it kinda lines up with the stock but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks again.

If you have or rent the caliper tool, yes, if not, then it's only about a 3 on that scale...

Re: thinking of doing the same. on a scale of 1-10, how difficult is this task?
Well, the first one might take a while but once you know how it works it really easy.
You need:
13 mm wrench (or socket with extension)
14 mm wrench ( I used a 5/16 because I did not have it; please correct me if what's needed is a 15mm) This is to hold the back nut.
Caliper tool A MUST! Do not even think to do it without.
CRC "disk brake quiet"; I'm saying this because my front are squealing just a little but so this time I used a little bit of CRC and I chamfered the pads on all edges.
A torque wrench accurate to 25nm would be ideal but I noticed that the back bolts are holding more than the front so if you don't have a torque wrench just use a regular wrench (13mm) and push very hard. (disclaimer if you break it don't blame it on me; use common sense.)
I assume you have a jack and a torque wrench for the wheels (90 ft-lbs) as well as jack stands. (disclaimer don't get crushed under the car and then blame me; I told you!)
