My CV joint gooing Bye Bye?.......*cries*

First WHY GOD WHY!!!!

Next here is the low, in first gear turning or going straight and punching the gas pedal will result in a *tik, tik, tik, tik*. I have checked a lot of things and everything leads back to the dang CV joint. Is there anything I could of missed? {please tell me there is}. The car is 96 A4 FWD with 64k miles on the clock.

Thanks.

whats the avg. life on cv joints?

JHam_CT 05-10-2006 05:01 PM

Buh bye CV... don't stress, though, it's not a hard job.

Just get a new CV Joint. This is a common failure point on older Audi and VW's.

Andy_TN's tech article

mattarios2 05-10-2006 05:05 PM

only on older audi's and vw?

JHam_CT 05-10-2006 05:10 PM

Of course not.

The job should be fairly easy Ive done a few. But finding one for a decent

price will not be. Any places on the internet I should start looking at? The retailers here in Canada are killing me with the prices lol.
