Default My plan: Hook up my E-Code city lights to a switch like the fog switch where the ESD switch would go

If I were to have ESD, which I don't so it's blank. Has anyone put anything there, or installed a switch like I am planning? I assume I can just order a replacement fog light switch from the dealer that should just pop right into that spot, then just wire it up to get power and presto, I can turn on ONLY my city lights! I know I could just wire them up to my parking lights, but I would like to keep them seperate.

Or maybe I should do the front foglight mod, so I can turn them on w/out my headlights, and have the city lights come on then too...hmmmnnnn...can you tell I'm bored?

Thoughts, opinions?

Default the factory ESP switch is the bomb....

When you order it, don't forget to also order the connector plug otherwise its nearly impossible to solder on any wires.

If you get a foglight switch instead of the esp switch, it won't match the contour of the dash cutout. Also, the esp switch has six pins... only three are used, one is neutral, one of normally open, and the other is normally closed. It is a momentary switch so you will need to use a holding relay to keep the lights on. I didn't need a relay because I use it to "momentarily" mist my intercoolers.

good luck

Default Why not just have the first click on the headlight stalk be city lights only?

Thats how I have mine...no amber corner lights, just city lights.

Default Don't think so...

I believe all the lights come on at the first click. (except the headlights, of course)

So do your corner lights only come on when the turn signal is activated?
