Default Well

It looks like you might need a couple other parts.
4B0145832 is the hose that connects the turbo output to the intercooler crossover pipe. It has a small hose to connect the BPV to. However, that small hose is quite short, not long like your picture indicates. It appears there might be some substitution required.

Is your DV located up high like in this picture? You can see there's an elbow down on the hose you need, right where the tear is. That's the part that might be required, along with the hose connected to the BPV. It's 2 pieces now, instead of 1 long one like what you have now.

Dealer is probably your best bet in this case.

Default This is what I don't get...

I have a 9/96 build A4 1.8T I bought in 10/96, new. I have never had to replace that hose, yet it has what is referred as the updated hose. And I know where my car has been this whole time too. So, how is it that I got an early build with a supposed newer style hose? The ONLY possible answer is that there has been both hoses the whole time! I wonder if the hoses are made by two different manufacturers and this explains the slight difference. There is no other explanation.
