Default Need to replace flex pipe & Cat Converters on stock exhaust... what's the pipe diameter?

I have a 96 2.8L A4 Quattro, and one of the flex pipes is messed up and I'm also having the 2 Catalytic Converters replaced. I'm going to go the generic route and get some Carsound Magnaflow Cats, but I need to know the diameter of the stock cat's and flex pipe to match my exhaust. Does anyone know? I think it may be 2.25", but even if I get the wrong diameter and it's off by a little, will it be a big deal and can it be welded on anyway?

So a 2.25" flex pipe and 2.25" diameter Cat would be fine? I've been reading people getting the 2.5" magnaflows, does it matter?

Also, I'm assuming the optional o2 sensor for cats is for turbo cars only right?
