Autohaus AZ is where I purchased mine. Get the accumulator as well.

Yes but you have to disconnect the AC when you do the core.
With a 13 year old car that accumulator needs replacing. The accumulator is also called a receiver / drier. Good thing it's fairly cheap.

The only brand they carry for the 12V V6 is Graf - the Graf part that I bought there died at 30,000 miles, and I read that this is not unusual. For replacement I ponied up for the genuine Audi part.
