Default New optional Sideguard airbags?

I am considering getting the optional sidguard airbags in a new A4. They are mounted in the side pillars towards the roof. My concern is that they may buldge out and create a blind spot when I look over my left shoulder. This may be more dangerous than beneficial.

Does anyone know if these new airbags fit into the existing form of the interior so that I never know they are there, or do they stick out a little?? Thanks.

I have the sideguard in my A4. The plastic molding for the air bag and the seat belt (over left sholder) are the same. This moulding sticks out about an inch and a half from where the door seals with the frame. It doesn't make a blind-spot for me. Your dealer should be able to show you an example.

I have them. Unnoticeable unless I point them out to people.
