Any advice? I replaced a torn driverside cv boot that was clicking pretty good on right turns. The races and bearings were in great shape but there was some small pitts on the cage. Still getting the same loud clicking on right turns.

I'd rather not replace perfectly good races with a new joint because the cage is bad, any suggestions?

I don't see how a cage with small pits can cause bad clicking. The clicking comes from lack of grease, without which the ***** will scoot along their groves until hitting the cage. Other than limiting how far the ***** can move, the cage doesn't do much else.

If it was clicking its junk, the only way you can get a way with rebooting an axle is if it was still quiet and has no play or wear. Buy a new axle assembly. I have good luck with OP Parts axles and FEQ, they can be had for 50-80$ each. Dont bother trying to fix the outer joint. The inner joints wear out and fail and make vibrations eventually. No point in limping along a 50-80$ part....
