no heat from blowers
just got cold here in UK,and found out my heater wont blow hot, only luke warm, all gauges showing ok,plugged laptop in+showing no fault codes, the car does have air-con,which works fine on cold.
thermostat?,heater matrix?. saw the faq on heaters so will flush matrix+see what happens. UPDATE. cleared pipes to matrix, flushed it,bled it,feed is hot so thermostat prob ok,return is warm but not hot as feed.,but i am going to renew[thermostat] anyway as they are pennies, after all that its very slightly warmer......,heat output does go up slightly if i leave car idling for 10 mins problem solved, thermostat was faulty, car is A1 now, many thanks for the advice... |
Thermostat most likely

no heat in the cabin, but the temp gauge is fine? Probably air. Does the heat get better...
when you rev the engine, thus forcing more water pressure into the system?
|
need to bleed the heater core
|
does the heat only work when the engine RPM is increased?
If so, you have an airlock in your heater core, and you need to bleed the system.
|
Is your engine coolant level low?
|
I got the same problem :-(
|
Same problem here...
Gauges look fine as well. Coolant temp in the middle, oil on second line. Fan doesn't seem to be blowing very much air even though it's running on high, and the air out of the vents is consistently luke warm but not hot. Seemed OK last night, but today was a bit colder.
