That's a good idea, but considering the price difference of that pump and a quality replacement VW/Audi/Benz pump I choose the latter. I plan to only utilize it during the 4 winter months and it should last several years. My Aux pump failed at 182K miles and 10 years of age. The pump housing cracked but the brushes were OK. Thanks for the PN and brand information, I like your ingenuity.

I have a6 2001 2.8 l same thing no heat at idle . I back flushed the heater core connected the lower hose fulled up the heater core with the water hose till water came out the top hose slid top hose on clamped it drove it for ten minutes heater working at idle so hot I turn it down
