i have a 98.5 A4 1.8t FWD, I would really appriciate if someone could give me some advice.
This is my problem, sometimes when i take off from 1st gear or 2nd gear (coming up to a stop sign and not stopping all the way) i hear this tapping noise from the front area of the car, sounds like it is aroud transmition area ( I think) this problem does not happen all the time and it is alot worst when car warms up, this problem also happens to me when i go over higher speed bumps at about 3- 7 mph. This is a tapping noise that varies in loudiness and duration, sometimes louder and longer (1-2 secs), it really sounds like metal against metal contact
Any advice would be great..
