Number of speakers ... 6 not 8 ?
 

Every spec, manual, etc for an '01 with Symphony radio, says there are 8 speakers in the car. Why do I only have 6? Is this the same in other '01 series cars? What does AoA say about this?

My 98.5 Bose has 8...
 

Two tweeters in upper front doors, two mids in lower front doors, two mids in lower back doors, and two "bass" drivers in rear deck.

AoA says each rear speaker is the two way...
 

The way automotive marketing works, a each two way speaker is counted as (2) speakers.

So the speakers go both ways, but only in the rear? Sounds kinky.

Yeah, I've read this is ONLY on '01's but wanted to ask.

That's a load of crap ... are the rears really switch-hitters, um, I mean, two-wayers?
