odd beam pattern on ecodes
that would explain why your beam pattern is looking like this : ---\__ ---\___
instead of this __/--- __/---
Hope this helps...let me know.

This represents what you will see with either beam pattern, if you drive your car up to a wall at about 25 feet.
The black vertical line represents the middle of the vehicle, the black crosses represent the focal points of the low beams.
On paper, the sharp cutoff looks neater, but for all practical purposes I prefer the "wedge type." Neither system should annoy other drivers when adjusted correctly, but both patterns have shortcomings in certain situations:
A very sharp cutoff makes it easy to aim the lights visually, but I don't like the efffect when going on a road that's not flat. The lights start bouncing up and down, and range of the lights becomes limited, and you start "flashing" oncoming traffic.
On the other hand, the lights with the wedge-type pattern can blind other drivers while you pass them. So you shouldn't be hovering behind and to the left of their six, or they will start thowing stuff out the window at you. ;-) Just be observant and notice under what conditions your lights may blind others.
Many car makers, having contracts with Valeo, Hella, Bosch, etc, install either system. What they put in on Monday is not necessarily the same as on Thurdsday.
Most xenon lights use the step pattern, but I see, for example, a lot of BMWs with the wedge-type xenons.
also where can i find and auto leveling motor....i never got them installed on the other ecodes but with the firmer suspension theres a little bit more bounce than the other car....
