2001 1.8T Manual...engine code AWM
Now here is the problem. When the engine is cold the car runs fine, but after 10 miles it studders like a big misfire. If i push the clutch in it will die. Then I let the clutch out and it restarts (Because I'm still rolling at 55MPH. Then the EPC light comes on and the car runs like crap.
It happened once just as i came to a stop light and it wouldn't restart via cranking the starter. Let the car sit for 10 minutes as I checked under the hood. Then it started and drove home. I tried driving to work today with the MAF unplugged, but it was more of the same. The thing that gets me is it happens like clockwork. My dad has my laptop so i can't VAG until next week.
Anybody have any ideas

Any flashing check engine lights when this is going on?

I know when these fail hot start becomes very difficult due to fuel over-injection (rich mixture)

No flashing CEL...ive had a CEL due to secondary air injection for a while, I'll VAG next week
