I recently changed my ignition switch because the plastic had broke, which made it sometimes start and sometimes not, mostly depending on the temperature. Now the the immobilizer D2 coil fault code is gone, but while i changed the ignition switch the odomoter now suddenly reads wrong.


For example; The backlight if there are any or the lcd light doesent work, and where it should Count 100m it Count for kilometer, a.k.a it Counts to slow. I know because i calculated it With the trip Counter, and that one aswell reset itself everytime i start the car.


Anyone been into this problem before? Googled abit around and i cant find a solution and VAGCOM doesent read any fault codes on that bit.

it seems like the one i bought from ecs tunings is from a 8D-T, but the one i need is from 8D-V could this be the cause of the problem?
