Default Audi has updated the oil drain plug/crush washer. For $4 your...

Friendly<sigh> parts department will sell you a new drain plug that has a life time(i can beleive i said that) crush washer. What i mean by that, the washer DO NOT come off the Drain plug...So, u will never have to worry about getting/running out of copper washers.

Default New design?...wow....that's too bad...I used to buy the washers and reuse the bolt 3 or 4 times.

I had not problems doing that.
I'm sure you can still buy the washers online somewhere. One of those drop shipping sites like carmadillo.com.
