My A4 B5 2.8L 30V V6 AHA Engine 1999 is having a problem with the oil pressure light. Right after I fixed the timing the dam oil pressure warning light came on right when the engine got to it normal runing temperature. I changed the Oil Pressure Sensor and still the same only less(but it's been cold so will see when its -10C)
When I am idling on trafic light then when I start slow the light comes on, also when the RPM goes above 2000RPM the light goes away it turns on even when the RPM is at 1100RPM then I want to go faster the oil warning light comes up.
There is lots of oil when I open the cap.

Does anyone have the same issue, niquattro28q and me seem to have the same problem, can anyone please help?

perhaps from sludge, get your car to a dealer ASAP.

no there is no sludge because I just did the rebuild 3000KM's ago, yea I forgot to mention that I rebuild the car. But the funny thing is, it only happens when the car is hot. Just to note the light does not turn on if I'm just idling, only when I press the gas pedal from 760-2000RPM then it turns off the light as it increases the RPM above 2000RPM. And It happens rarely.

Same thing happened to me on my 96A4Q2.8LV6. Replaced the oil pressure sender unit and the oil filter housing o-ring and no more oil pressure light.

i have the same issue n i was told that there is too much oil but idk im still trying to find out
