One piece headlight on 98 A4 nonQ?

My friend just bought a 98 1.8T non quattro and the headlight is one piece so you can't just put in clear corners. are these stock headlights or what?

They are probably stock parts but aren't stock on the car, but if I were him i'd be happy

Ya, in the us, i was dumbfounded when i saw the one piece assmbly.
