rear lights have nothing to do with the front
They're on a separate fuse and wiring. Same with the side indicators.
Anything plugged into the housing is separate from everything else.

Why turn on the parking lights?
I like the BRIGHToffBRIGHToff blinking better than BRIGHTdimBRIGHTdim. Could just leave them off, do cities on one click, and lows only on second click.
