Default Pic from my wheel changing nightmare yesterday.

that nut is completly rounded off. luckily i was able to get it off woth an impact wrench. The bent wrench is a BRAND new one from a BMW. ist time ive used it. My audi one is already trash so i ended up using my roommates from his benz. anyways when i took off the passenger side front wheel, i noticed some green liquid leaking out from behind the the brakes. not the actual brakes, i wanna say the cv boot, but im not sure if thats right. what ccould it be. the level of my brake fluid is right where it should be.

Default Who installed your wheels last time?

If torqued to 90 ft-lbs, you should be able to loosen them with one hand easily.

Default cv boot will have grease in it... doesn't tend to run like a thin liquid unless subjected to high

temps.

Default green fluid = brake fluid

how viscous is it? if very liquidy (is that a word?) and green, it's likely brake fluid. check the level in the reservoir in the engine bay. if really goopy and thick, it could be the cv joint grease. if you rotate the wheel, you should be able to find a tear in the boot.

Default

I'm cautious about lug torque. I always re-check them after a tire store works on it.
