I hope it's not **** *** slow like the G4 667 w/512megs of RAM we paid $3k for when running OS X
Talk about being majorlly shafted. Paying that much for a notebook and it's S-L-O-W in Apple's premier OS. I'm not a mac user, but the guy who we baught it for has been for 20 years and he says it's slow as ****.
Running OS 9 is 10x faster, but we baught OS X apps for a reason.

Nah, they've fixed the OS. Apple had to release it early for... well, this is a whole new
can o' worms. Suffice to say, if you picture how it ran in 9 when he bought it, X runs almost that fast while threading 5 or 6 simultaneous apps.
Anyway, I just needed to go shopping real bad.
Besides, we do all our research on Macs and UNIX machines, so I could either run OS X on a Mac or install Linux. 8-)
