Please help!
Now that the car is back from the body shop I have a new problem, it shakes like it would when it's running only on 3 cylenders and only revs up to 2k. After 2k it just drops and doesn't respond to the gas pedal and if I step on the pedal again the RPM could go as high as 5k without the car responding to it. Also it stalled few times on traffic lights.
on top of that my water temp gauge is not working.
What can it be?
BTW it's 1999 1.8t
- Pull the parking brake.
- Put the car in 2nd gear.
- Slowly release the clutch. DO NOT step on the gas!
As you release the clutch, your RPM should gradually drop until your engine stalls. If the engine keeps running after you release the clutch, it has had it. If your car starts moving, your brakes are due for replacement :-)
