Porsche/S4 brakes on A4

We just put Turbo5's Stage 3 kit on the front axle of our shop A4 1.8t. This kit uses S4 rotors and Porsche 996 calipers.

Initial impressions: Feels the same as stock so far, which is a good thing. Haven't broken 'em in, so no panic stops yet. Install was a piece of cake, and everything fit up great.

Before you ask, the wheels are 18" Oettinger REs, and they weigh 24.8 pounds each. The Oettinger's are great for brake clearance, which is important with this kit.

Those are beautiful wheels.

The silver caliper looks gorgeous and perfectly matched with the wheel color.

wow, those 18s give a lot more "extra" clearance over Clark's 17s than I thought they would

Anand@4Induktion.com 11-19-2000 10:44 PM

yes it does, and it also matches Aluminum Silver(the audi color)

SDSilver01 11-19-2000 10:55 PM

Agreed. Looks like another item for the wish list. . .

You know, besides the wonderful color match of the calipers, they might even perform better. Nah!

*Tongue in cheek*
