So, i tried to open up my hood today and ran into an interesting problem. When i popped the release, i noticed the sound/feel wasn't like normal. It didn't "pop" like normal, but I could still feel it release the hood. So, i went over to the front latch to open the hood and it wouldn't release the hood. The hood release in the car releases the hood and it pops up the normal inch or two. But, the latch release at the front of the hood doesn't seem to want to let the hood go the rest of the way. Does this behavior seem consistent with a broken cable?

My WAG is the latch itself is sticking or otherwise gunny. Try lubing it ...
