Problems with local tuner shop.... :( A while back a "local" tuner shop did some work on a friends
car... Replaced a tie rod end and 2 front axles.
Shortly after we realized that one of them was "clicking" and took it back. They said they will get it fixed under warranty, etc. And it has been over 2 months, no progress yet. What should we do?
I think I'll give them another chance in fixing it and then go to BBB and the small claims court... Any ideas? TIA

You reported the problem before the warranty was up, and they've been sitting around ...
... with their thumbs up their asses.
BBB can help, but only if the shop is a member, and cares about their reputation.

I hope they didn't go out of biz...
tuner shops in CT are dropping like flies. I know of someone who had to go pick their ride up with a tow truck as the shop working on his car closed up without warning.

Well they seemed to care... with a whole bunch of excuses etc. Promised to call within 48 hrs..
If they don't do anything by then I will contact BBB and go to court. BBB complaint should establish a time line within the warranty period.
They say they offer the manufacturers warranty only... My argument simply was: "We did business with you and you are the one you got paid."
Why would anyone pay $30 over retail, if they're gonna buy that excuse. 9 weeks to get EMPI replacements axles.. . that's quite interesting.

They seem to be coming around nicely. I am hoping that it only was reluctance on their part which
caused the problem. Sometimes I think just because I am nice and understanding people don't take me seriously. It's kind of a personal problem, but it is the way it is.
