Puzzling Problem, Need Help! (Long)
Hi all. I have a 98 A4 1.8t Tiptronic. The car has been stalling or completely shutting down intermittently. It will eventually start again, but will stall sometime later.The check engine light has not come on. When the car is running it runs perfectly.
I've noticed that after a stall and I'm trying to re-start the car, sometimes the check engine light will not come on when key is in "on" position. When this occurs, the car will not start. When the check engine light comes on, the car will start and run for awhile.
I have pulled the codes and have gotten 18010-Voltage too low, and the 16486 Mas air flow circ low input.
I have replaced the air mass sensor without success. Battery and charging system checked out OK, and the intake system was cleaned out.
Any input would be appreciated. BTW there's no Audi service center in my town!
