question about speed sensor wire
Does anyone remember off the top of their head whether the speed sensor/reverse light wire (which I think start off as one wire that splits into two connectors which go to the transmission) also uses a connector on the single ended side, or whether it goes straight into the ECU wiring harness?
Also, if the individual wires in the speed sensor/reverse light bundle were shorted out or cross/connected, what effect would this have on the throttle?
Basically, while installing the transmission, I think I may have pinched this bundle of cables while putting one of the bolts between the transmission and engine back. Since then, the car broke down twice so far while I was driving. Both times, throttle input had no effect, once the EPC light came on, and typically it gave me throttle body-related codes. But now I'm wondering, if the speed sensor is part of the EPC system and it isn't working proberly, perhaps it might cause problems that seem related to the TB.
I swapped out the TB by the way, but the new one did the same thing. However, the car drives fine now - so the TB is definitely not bad.
