radio problem, help needed

radio problem, help needed
Heard a crackling sound in speakers, next time I turned the car on, the radio didn't work. Here are the details:
- 99.5 A4 1.8T w/Concert system and self-installed panasonic 8D changer
- The concert panel turns on (Rand, FM2 buttons only) and lights up as normal. Even the backlight behind the digital display works....but the display doesn't show dgital words/numbers.
- Checked the CD changer. The ground had come loose. Reattached the ground, checked other changer connections.
- Suspected I had blown a fuse, but the radio fuse is ok
Any ideas? I appreciate your help.

There's a fuse on the back of the head unit. I'd check it. Will need Mercedes keys from Crutchfield
Grab the serial number of the back of the radio to get the unlock code through your dealer while you have it pulled out. Good luck.
