Running temperature
98.5 30V, temperature usuallly sits at the middle (or just a hair to the right), but sometimes goes over to the next marking on the right and sits there for a while. Eventually, it recovers. Should I be worried?
Also, the radiator fan is almost always on. Coolant seems okay (good level, pink in color). Oil temp is at 200-225.

Could be your fan clutch
The needle shouldn't be over halfway unless it's really hot out and you're pushing the car hard. Since your electric fan seems to be fine, Check your main fan to see that the clutch is not worn out. Search for how to do this (just don't ask Mrs. Kris Hansen's mechanic!)

Any recommendations? They both look okay, I just haven't heard of either company before (but then, I haven't had an Audi till last week).

Ask on the CT or New England board for a shop...
blau parts is decent you could also try Purems.com.
There is Tony's Imported auto in Manchester. Their labor prices are a bit high but the quality of work is well worth it. I'm sure there's a shop closer to Fairfield, though.
