Seat cover for a4 1.8T 98.5

Drivers side plastic seat is cracking so I'm looking for a seat cover that will fit reasonable well. Any pointers? Using duct tape was NOT an good idea :-(

Why not just replace it?

Maybe because it I'm looking for a quick and cheap solution?

Aren't the seat covers sub $150? Hard to find a solution cheaper than that, other than duct tape.

If you have a service manual it will show you how to remove the cover and have it sewn.

Please elaborate...

My drivers side leatherette seat is cracking and I would love to replace it. Where can I get a new cover? I've done some searching and really did not find anything. If you search the internet, you get a bunch of aftermarket products that look pretty crappy.

Should I just call my local dealer or is there a better way to go about it?

Call your local dealer. The right part is dealer only. There are dealers who advertise here for discounted pricing.

So if the rest of the seat is good you can get a cover for just the seat base or do you have to get the backrest also?

Just the base cover. If you have heated seats, but sure they are working. If not, this is a good time to change the heater element too.
