Self-leveling motors in European headlamps
Has anybody who installed Bosch Euro-spec headlamps also installed the dash board switch used to control the self-levelling motors in these lamp assemblies? Is the wiring dropped behind one of the unused switch panels above the radio (in US-spec cars), or is this a situation where the US wiring differs slightly from the european harness? Also, has anyone successfully added an extra contact to the headlamp connector so that the 'city lights' work without extra wiring?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Some answers...
First of all, the euro headlights don't have AUTO leveling - only the Xenons do. They have manual leveling which is activated from a switch as you say (thus not auto).
Second, there is no pre-wiring for that. As I had to painfully find out, the US specs cars are pretty much completely different in wiring than their Euro counterparts (I have some Euro diagrams whcih are useless here). So it's not as simple as sticking in a switch and it would work.
As for the city lights - search the archives, baby. With the recent Xenon wave on this board this has been beaten to death, kinda.
- Stan
98.5 30vQMSX
