Short shifter

Guy ive bought this short shifter that i regret buying of ebay and I need help what could be the problem. Well installed and I get this knock when I swing it near 1st and 2nd gear. Its very terrible nock. I looked at, its touching the side and grinding a bit. But when i shift to 5th and Reverse it doesnt reach to the end. My guess is to put the old shifter back but maybe this could be resolved.

Or you could just adjust the linkage.

That is where the adjustment is located.
