Spark plugs : do they make the bosch four electrode plug for the A4? what is the stock plug?

Check "Confuser Reports"; noteds they recommend against them
 

Also was an article about them in "European Car" a while ago. Beleive Bosch said that they are trying to go after the less exotic vehicles; for numnuts who usually never do an ounce of prevention. The high output/exotic/turbocharged cars were to be secondary.<p>Look in your owner's manual to find what came with your car.<p>

EC had an article on those plugs about 4 months ago, and went into great depth on why they are superior (probably written by Bosch). They did sound very effective....BUT, they don't work for turbos right now, plugs for turbo cars are still under development according to the article. Something to do with electrode temperatures.<p>Christian J. Long

Correct... Do not use these on the 1.8T...

Most third-party reports show no performance benefits to using plugs other than OEM or equivalent. The role of the spark plug is just too simple
