STFA - Where is the Oil Temp Sensor?

Oil Sensor light is on and the oil gauge is not moving. Bad sensor or wiring damage is what I'm guessing. ONly problem, I'm searching for this sensor location and cannot find.

Anyone have a pic of where this sensor is?

It's on the oil filter mount. There is a pressure sender, and the temp sender...

It's #11 in this image.

Make sure you have oil pressure before you
go to far. Don't forget the problem with
the pump pickup screen plugging with sludge.

i pulled the sensor out and everything looked ok

I guess the sensor just went bad? The wires around the sensor looked ok. ONly thing that caught my eye was that there is only 1 wire feeding into the sensor. Is that sensor wire exposed elsewhere, like underneath the engine or something?

Cant understand why the oil sensor would just fail. Doesnt seem like a sensitive part...
