Titanium Backing Plates For Porsche Caliper
These titanium backing plates are inserted between the pad and the caliper to reduce heat transfer from the pads to the pistons. The plates make the dust boots last longer and also reduce the temperature of the brake fluid. Set of 4 plates.

how thick are they?
like mark said, it's a tight squeeze with new pads. adding two of those plates may not even be possible unless your pads are worn.
and for $80? do they have hard data showing how much it drops temps?

Not worth it for the events most of us do....
While the brake temp does get up there for our cars @ DEs and what not... they do not get to the point where these would make a real world of difference.
Save the $80 and get some rotors to match the aggressive racing pads.
